Who doesn’t love a delicious home-cooked meal? Let me help you learn how to enjoy cooking in a new way. With new recipes, new foods and most importantly- proper education about healthy eating. Trust me, I didn’t eat a single salad until I was in my 20’s, and now I can’t get enough fresh produce in my diet. I’m totally hooked, and have the recipes that will get you, and and even the pickiest of eaters in your family, on board. A chef will spend more time on cooking techniques, and I’ll spend more time on nutrition education. When you have the knowledge behind why certain foods and recipes are good for you, it instantly increases your motivation to eat healthier.
How long will we work together before I see results?
Oh how I love this question! Everyone wants to know the answer, but the only person who can answer it is you. One question I will be asking you is, “What is your level of commitment?” The fact that you are here, reading these questions, shows you are already serious about getting your health back on track. And the more committed you are, the faster you’ll see results. I typically ask for a four session commitment from each new client when working one-on-one. There is a lot I need to learn about your health history, lifestyle, preferences and habits in order to tailor recommendations specifically for you and your individual needs. Each situation is unique, just like each of our bodies and dietary needs are unique, and the first four sessions together will set the stage for your success with this program.
What sort of results can I expect from working with a holistic nutritionist?
Depending on what areas you’d like to focus on, we can target any number of things. From making prescribed dietary changes, reaching your ideal weight, changing your eating habits, increasing the amount of fresh vegetables you eat, boosting energy levels, reducing cravings, improving fertility, balancing hormones and how to eat for stable blood sugar levels. One way I like to measure success with this program is through blood work, which helps you to make the connection between your diet and your health, and is a much more rewarding result than seeing the scale alone. I can order you simple, and cost effective labs, which will give you a clear picture of your health, and an invaluable way to measure your successes. We can also use your existing blood work to discuss your current state of health and find areas that need to be restored to optimal function. Simple additions to your diet can result in huge improvements in your blood work, letting you recognize the power you have to improve your health and wellbeing.
Besides one-on-one counseling sessions and cooking classes, what other services are offered?
Weekly meal services, recipe rehab, kitchen clean-out, grocery store/farmers market tours, and private cooking classes. I also work with individuals working to make transitions in their diet, such as removing gluten, grains, soy or dairy, and those interested in learning to follow a paleo diet.

What can I expect from our one-on-one sessions?
We will talk about where your were, where your are and where you want to be. You’ll be getting personalized attention and recommendations, things that are within your budget and that will fit into your schedule. Not interested in spending the money on supplementation? No problem. Don’t like cooking/Intimidated by the kitchen? We can work around that. Think you hate healthy foods? Trust me, so did I.
We can develop meal plans, menus and recipes to your personal taste preferences. We can order blood, stool, urine and saliva tests to check your cholesterol, blood sugar, triglycerides, hormones, and levels of inflammation in your body, just to name a few. And our working together will help you restore balance to your body, bringing your internal systems back to optimal function.
